About this place

Jambaeok, near City Hall, has served seolleongtang, a milky ox bone soup, since 1933. Three generations have kept its pot boiling nonstop, and the soup has fed Korean War refugees and Seoul workers for over 90 years. By tradition it comes lukewarm, with slices of beef in a broth simmered for hours, and a bowl costs 9,000 won with aged kimchi. The current building replaced the original, which was damaged in the war.
