HwangsoJip

HwangsoJip has served ox knee soup (doganitang) and braised ox tendons (doganijjim) in a narrow alley near Chungmuro Station since 1965. Korean beef sirloin is the only other dish. The doganijjim arrives bubbling in a cast iron pot, and thin noodles go into the broth at the end. The room has worn wooden tables and vintage tiles; locals and film industry workers have eaten here for generations, and office workers come after work for soju.
