Jingogae

Jingogae has served Korean food in Chungmuro since 1963, from a two-story hanok-style building between Chungmuro and Euljiro stations, in the area once called Seoul's "Hollywood". Families often come three generations at a time for braised short ribs, gopchang jeongol (tripe hot pot) and eobok jaengban, a platter of beef, vegetables and dumplings cooked at the table. Locals order extra rice just to mix with the sauce of the sweet-spicy yangnyeom gejang (marinated crab). The bossam kimchi is free, and prices are reasonable.
