About this place

Sinseonggak is a small Chinese restaurant near Gongdeok Station that has made hand-pulled noodles since 1981, and the owner still pulls each batch to order from flour and water. Its jjajangmyeon, nicknamed the 'Pyongyang naengmyeon of jjajangmyeon', is mild and made in the 1960s Korean-Chinese style, without MSG or excess sugar, using fermented black bean paste and big chunks of fresh vegetables. There are four tables. Payment is cash only, water is self-service, and waits of an hour are common.
