Sarangbang Kalguksu

Sarangbang Kalguksu has been in Euljiro, Seoul's printing district, since 1968. People line up for the baeksuk baekban, boiled chicken with broth and rice for 9,000 won; the chicken falls off the bone and is torn by hand and dipped in green onion sauce. There are also hand-cut noodles in anchovy broth. The 50-year-old shop, in a narrow alley with a vintage sign and Blue Ribbon certificates on the door, has been on many Korean food shows, and film industry workers and international visitors eat here.
