About this place

Samcheonggak is a group of six hanok buildings and pavilions on the slopes of Bugaksan Mountain, where the 1972 inter-Korean Red Cross talks were held after the July 4th Joint Communiqué. Its name means 'pavilion of three purities', for pure water, mountains and humanity. Recently renovated after 50 years, it is run by the Sejong Center and holds Wednesday evening performances and exhibitions. A hanok restaurant serves royal Korean cuisine, a café looks out on Seoul's fortress walls, and free shuttle buses run from Anguk and Gyeongbokgung stations.
