About this place
Bukchon Hanok Village is a 600-year-old neighborhood between Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung palaces, where Joseon Dynasty nobles once lived. More than 900 hanok with tiled roofs line its narrow alleys, some now used as cafes, galleries and cultural centers, and Bukchon-ro 11-gil is known for its rooftop views. Visitors can join craft workshops and tea ceremonies, stay in a hanok guesthouse, or rent hanbok for free palace entry. Since 6,100 residents live here, visitors are asked to keep their voices down.
