Noryangjin Fish Market has traded seafood since 1927 and handles 250-300 tons of it a day, a 10-minute walk from Noryangjin Station. Hundreds of vendors sell live seafood from tanks, including Alaskan king crabs and snow crabs. Shoppers choose their catch on the ground floor and take it to one of the restaurants on the second floor, where cooks turn it into hwe (sashimi), spicy maeuntang soup or grilled dishes.
