About this place

The National Assembly Building on Yeouido, beside the Han River, is a white stone building with a blue dome, completed in 1975. Its 24 granite columns stand for a promise to listen to citizens around the clock. Free guided tours, booked 3 days ahead, visit the 400-seat plenary chamber and the National Assembly Museum and include a legislative simulation. Presidential inaugurations take place here, the National Assembly Library and Members' Office Building share the grounds, and the surrounding streets fill with cherry blossoms in spring.
