Sangsu-dong

Sangsu-dong, next to Hongdae in Mapo-gu, lies around the Seoul Gas Thermal Power Station, and its former factories and warehouses now hold music venues, indie cafes and artists' spaces. Spots such as The Lost Continent of Mu and Steppenwolf Cafe host acoustic performances and film screenings. There are also craft beer bars behind exposed brick walls, military-themed chicken restaurants decorated with transport plane propellers, Gusto Taco for handmade tacos and Reggae Chicken Sunshine. Indie bands play in small venues.
