About this place

Gyeongui Line Forest Park, nicknamed "Yeontral Park" by locals, is a 6.3km park in Mapo-gu built on the tracks of a railway that ran from Seoul to what is now North Korea over 100 years ago. Restored train carriages now serve as bookshops, and the route passes streams, grassy lawns and remnants of the original railway. Starting from Hongdae, the path is lined with ginkgo trees, cafes, wine bars and boutiques. Book Street sits along the way.
