Yeonnam-dong

Yeonnam-dong is a neighborhood next to Hongdae. The Gyeongui Line Forest Park, nicknamed 'Yeontral Park', runs through it, and young artists and designers have turned its old houses into cafes and restaurants. The narrow alleys hold Studio Ghibli-themed cafes, Vietnamese street food places with tropical interiors, rooftop terraces serving European pastries, specialty coffee roasters and independent bookstores with bright yellow facades, and some strawberry cakes here sell out daily. On weekends Dongjin Market holds a flea market for handmade crafts, and at sunset people drink beer on the park's grass.
