About this place

Gyeongchun Line Forest Park is a 6-kilometer linear park in Nowon-gu, built on the old "romantic railway" that carried couples and students to Chuncheon from 1939 to 2010. The original tracks and bridges remain, along with the wooden Hwarangdae Station, built in 1939. Murals, street art and cherry trees line the path, which ends at Hwarangdae Railway Park with old steam locomotives and train cars on display. After dark it becomes a night light garden, with themed zones such as secret flower gardens, light tunnels and fantasy train stations.
