Onggi Theme Park

Onggi Theme Park is on the slopes of Bonghwasan Mountain in Jungnang-gu, on the site of an explosives depot that held 10 tons of gunpowder for over 40 years. The area was once a major pottery production center. The park has a reconstructed 15-meter onggi kiln, pottery gardens, hands-on ceramics workshops, sculptures of Korean folktales and the 'Garden of Traces', which keeps remains of the old depot. A mountaintop observatory with a book café looks out over Seoul, and Bonghwasan Station on Line 6 is a 15-minute walk away.
