Jeil KongJip is a soybean restaurant in Nowon-gu that has made kongguksu, cold soybean noodle soup, for over 25 years. The Korean soybeans, from Gangwon province, are ground every day on millstones, and the broth is so thick that no water is added. Locals line up for it, especially in summer. Beyond kongguksu, the menu has cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew) and handmade tofu dishes.
