Nowon Eco Center is a carbon-zero environmental education center in Nowon-gu that makes 100% of its energy with solar panels, geothermal systems and energy-saving technology. The building stays at a comfortable temperature all year without conventional heating or cooling. It also collects rainwater and turns waste into resources. Programs include traditional crafts, urban farming workshops and renewable energy demonstrations, and there are energy showrooms and seasonal eco-markets.
