About this place

Beomsaengi Pocha Sinwol is a small pojangmacha in Sinwol with just 4-6 tables, run by an elderly couple. It appeared in Heo Young-man's food comic "Sikgaek" and cooks seasonal southern Korean seafood, such as semi-dried croaker stew (민어찜). Spring brings webfoot octopus with water parsley, and winter brings big grilled prawns. Locals line up even on Sunday evenings for the homestyle fish stews and homemade kimchi, tables have a 2-hour limit, and celebrities such as Jeon Do-yeon come here.
