Seoul World Cup Stadium

Seoul World Cup Stadium in Mapo-gu was built for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, at which Korea reached the semi-finals, and has 66,704 seats. The 50-meter-high stadium is shaped like a traditional Korean kite, and its fiberglass and polycarbonate mimic hanji (Korean paper), glowing like a lantern when lit at night. FC Seoul matches are played here. Inside are an underground shopping mall, a 10-screen cinema, a wedding hall, a fitness center, a World Cup museum and Sky Pubs with unlimited beer; World Cup Park is next door.
