Peace Culture Bunker

Peace Culture Bunker in Dobong-gu, next to Dobongsan Station, is a Cold War-era anti-tank bunker that opened as an arts and culture space in 2018. Built in 1968-1970, it kept tanks on the first floor, with military apartments above to hide its purpose. CoRe Architects preserved the C-shaped, 250-meter-long concrete structure and added steel and timber; it now holds exhibition halls, artist workshops and an artist-in-residence program. A 20-meter tower looks out over the surrounding mountains.
