About this place
Dobongsan is a 740-meter granite mountain in Bukhansan National Park in northern Seoul, 40 minutes from the city center. Seoninbong Peak has 37 rock climbing routes, and the mountain also holds the five granite peaks of Obong and Cheonchuksa, a Buddhist temple dating back to 673 AD. Trails from Dobongsan Station (Lines 1 and 7) include easy routes for beginners and the Podae Ridge traverse with rock scrambles and safety ropes. Hikers top out at Sinseondae (726m), and restaurants near the trailhead serve post-hike meals.
