Wooripocha

Wooripocha is an izakaya-style restaurant in Gwangalli that specializes in daebangeo (amberjack/yellowtail), in season from November through February. Only fish of 12kg or more are used, butchered in-house into fatty belly, collar and tail cuts that are eaten wrapped in seaweed with aged kimchi and wasabi. The daebangeo gimbap, rolled around thick slices of fresh sashimi, goes alongside the main course. Two branches run side by side with a waiting area on the second floor, and a reservation or early arrival is needed in season.
