About this place

Seoul Nori Madang is a circular open-air stage near Seokchon Lake that has staged traditional performances since 1984, with free weekend shows of Korea's UNESCO-recognized mask dances, folk music and other folk arts. The program includes Songpa Sandae Nori, in which masked performers mock the social hierarchy with witty lines and acrobatic moves. There are more than 120 shows a year, including traditional drumming, martial arts demonstrations and seasonal events, and a single show can draw over 1,300 spectators. English program guides are available, and Jamsil Station is 5 minutes away.
