About this place

Bangi-dong Ancient Tombs, Historic Site number 270, is a hilltop park with eight circular, grass-covered burial mounds from 1,600 years ago, in a tree-lined residential area near Jamsil. They were found by accident in 1975. The rectangular burial chambers have stone walls and corridors, built when Seoul was the capital of the Baekje Kingdom, and you can look into them. Paths run between the tombs, benches face the mountains, and panels explain the history; entry is free, and local people come here to walk.
