About this place

Seokchon Lake is a free park by Jamsil Station (Lines 2 and 8), where walking paths link two butterfly-shaped lakes, East and West, ringed by more than 1,000 cherry trees and facing Lotte World Tower and Magic Island. Until 1971 it was part of the Han River. The Cherry Blossom Festival, held between late March and early April, brings mini-concerts, busking, art installations and LED lights at night. Beyond spring, there are weekend concerts between April and November, folk shows at Seoul Norimadang and the autumn Deciduous Street Festival.
