About this place

Hoban is a traditional Korean tavern in the narrow alleys of Jongno. It has run at several locations since the 1960s, and its customers include elderly regulars and young diners. The main dish is daechang sundae (tripe blood sausage), served plump and white, and the menu also has spicy byeongeo-jjim (pomfret stew), beef tongue, seasonal river oysters and doganitang. Kongbiji and water kimchi come free, and reservations are needed.
