About this place

Heojun Museum in Gangseo-gu stands at the birthplace of Heo Jun, the 16th-century royal physician who wrote Dongeuibogam, a key text of Korean traditional medicine now listed in UNESCO's Memory of the World. More than 900 medical artifacts and original handwritten texts are on display. Interactive exhibits and touch screens explain traditional diagnosis and medicinal herbs. Visitors can also join hands-on programs such as preparing herbal medicine.
