Gildong Ecological Park

Gildong Ecological Park in Gangdong-gu covers 80,683㎡, divided into wetland, forest and grassland zones, and is home to more than 2,800 species of plants and animals. Among them are 7 natural monuments, 6 endangered species and fireflies, which have their own Firefly Experience Center. Visits are by reservation only, with at most 400 people a day. Paths pass connected wetlands, observation decks, traditional thatched houses and bird-watching platforms, and the park runs educational programs and guided tours.
