About this place

Seoul Amsa-dong Prehistoric Settlement Site is a Neolithic site on the Han River, found when a 1925 flood exposed thousands of comb-pattern pottery shards dating back 6,000 years. The 78,000㎡ park, designated National Historic Site No.267, holds more than 40 excavated dwelling sites of people who fished, hunted and gathered acorns. Nine pit houses with central hearths have been rebuilt, two halls show stone axes and fishing net weights, and visitors can try prehistoric pottery making and fire starting. Amsa Station on Line 8 is a 15-minute walk away.
