YeosuJip

YeosuJip has served octopus and braised fish in a small alley near Sinchon Station since 1993. The octopus sashimi (sanmuneo-sukhoe) and braised pomfret come straight from Yeosu, a city on Korea's south coast, and the octopus is boiled only briefly so it stays tender. Scallion kimchi comes on the side, and the meal ends with meongmul ramen (squid ink noodles) cooked in the leftover octopus broth. With only about 5 tables, there is often a wait.
