About this place

Mulkkong Sikdang, named after the Busan dialect word for monkfish, is a family-run restaurant in Bosu-dong cooking monkfish since around 1965. The menu is aguijjim (braised monkfish), agu suyuk (boiled monkfish) and agu tang (monkfish soup). Its Busan-style aguijjim uses only fresh domestic monkfish, with bean sprouts and bangah leaves (Korean mint) in a mildly spicy sauce unlike the Masan style; the heat is adjustable, and gamja sari (potato noodles) can be added. It became a designated Busan traditional food restaurant in 2009, has been on national TV and has its own parking lot.
