About this place

GangsanOk is a 66-year-old soybean restaurant on the second floor of an old building near Bangsan Market, open since 1958. A North Korean refugee family runs it, now in its third generation. It serves one dish at a time: soybean porridge (kongbiji) September through May, and soybean noodles (kong-guksu) June through August. The thick soup has no additives or seasonings, and locals line up for it.
