Seoul National University Museum of Art

Seoul National University Museum of Art (SNUMoA) stands at the main gate of the university, in a glass-and-steel building by Rem Koolhaas that seems to float above the hillside. Samsung Group donated it in 2005. Its open galleries connect without walls between them and show contemporary Korean and international art, rotating exhibitions, student work and experimental multimedia installations. The building is cantilevered over the slope and its translucent façade shows the structure inside; entry is free or low-cost, and Seoul National University Station is a short bus ride away.
