About this place
Mount Gwanaksan rises 632 meters in Gwanak-gu, a few minutes from subway stations. Its rocky peaks hold old temples on the cliffs, and Yeonjudae Temple sits on a cliff edge near the summit. Trails include gentle forest paths and steep rock scrambles with ropes, and on clear days the top gives a 360-degree view of the city, including Namsan Tower and the Han River. Traditional snack vendors line the way, with cherry blossoms in spring and colored leaves in autumn.
