About this place

Seorae Village in Seocho-gu is Seoul's French quarter. About 560 French residents live here, and the community grew after the French School moved to the area in 1985. Along the tree-lined streets are French bakeries, wine bars and sidewalk cafés selling croissants, imported cheeses and wine, with French signage and tricolor flags on the lampposts. Montmartre Park sits on a hilltop, and yearly events include a French music festival and costume parades.
