Pyeong Hwaa Namyeong

Pyeong Hwaa Namyeong is a dimly lit, two-story seafood izakaya in Namyeong-dong, near Sookmyung Women's University Station. People line up for the seasonal Spanish mackerel sashimi and the steamed whole squid. Korean-style seafood tapas such as scallop butter jjim, sea urchin bibim noodles and flying fish roe yukhoe come with soju or craft cocktails, at reasonable prices. Reservations are essential, private rooms take groups of six or more, and on weekends the wait is about 30-50 minutes.
