Damjaengi

Damjaengi is a chicken restaurant in a hanok-style building in Namyeong-dong, between Namyeong and Sookmyung Women's University stations. It is known for samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup), baeksuk (whole boiled chicken) and chogyetang, a chilled chicken dish with ten kinds of hand-cut vegetables that has appeared on Korean TV. Everything is cooked to order, so samgyetang takes about 30 minutes and baeksuk about an hour; chogyetang is limited each day and should be reserved. Courses start at 30,000 won per person, and tables are set up like private rooms.
