Eomjjiago

Eomjjiago is a Korean restaurant a few minutes' walk from Sinyongsan Station Exit 5, toward the Yongsan electronics market. Its name shortens the tagline on the sign, 'Mom makes the stew, son grills the meat'. Open for about ten years, it was run first by a mother and son and now by the mother alone; grilled pork belly and bossam still sit beside her stews. Weekday lunch is a baekban set with homemade side dishes and kimchi, and evenings bring bossam, dakbokkeumtang (braised chicken), osam-bulgogi (squid and pork), braised kimchi and gochujang stew with soju.
