Itaewon

Itaewon is an international neighborhood below Namsan, along Itaewon-ro between Itaewon and Noksapyeong stations on Line 6, and it became a special tourist zone in 1997. Embassies, the Seoul Central Mosque and decades of foreign residents have filled its streets with restaurants from Turkey, India, Mexico and elsewhere, as well as tailors, vintage shops, bars and clubs. Gyeongnidan-gil, Haebangchon and Usadan-ro, with cafes and smaller restaurants, are within walking distance. Weekend nights are the busiest; weekday afternoons suit shopping and an unhurried meal.
