Gangchon Ssambap

Gangchon Ssambap is an organic lettuce wrap restaurant in Pyeongchang-dong, near the Sangmyung University Museum and the Total Museum of Art, opened in 1995. There are just two items, both 18,000 won. The ssambap jeongsik (lettuce wrap set meal) comes with organic vegetables, stone pot rice, homemade side dishes, doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) and boiled pork (pyeonyuk); the other item is pyeonyuk on its own. Rice, meat and ssamjang go into lettuce leaves, crispy nurungji (scorched rice) ends the meal, and the standalone building has large halls and ample parking.
