About this place

Seonjeongneung is a UNESCO World Heritage site in Gangnam where King Seongjong (the 9th Joseon king), Queen Jeonghyeon and their son King Jungjong are buried. The 500-year-old grounds lie among pine woods and kept gardens, with office towers all around. Tree-lined paths pass stone guardian figures and ceremonial buildings. Nearby office workers come here on their lunch break; entry is 1,000 won, and Seolleung Station (Line 2, Exit 10) is a 5-minute walk away.
