Godosik Mapo

Godosik Mapo is a pork barbecue restaurant in Mapo-gu that specializes in al-deungsim, a T-bone-shaped cut joining pork loin, collar and belly. The pigs are raised at high altitude in the mountains of Jirisan and Jeju Island. Each cut is grilled twice, first over charcoal at the entrance and then by staff on a cast-iron grill at the table. Spicy soft tofu stew comes free, the dipping sauces are yellow corvina salt and fermented shrimp paste, and fried rice is cooked on the iron plate in the pork drippings.
