Gomtangban

Gomtangban is a modern gomtang (beef soup) restaurant near Gongdeok Station. The clear broth is made from Hanwoo beef bought the same day, with all the fat skimmed off. There are two soups, plain beef gomtang and a special gomtang with offal, plus ban-suyuk, a half portion of boiled beef sized for one person or a small group. The suggested way to eat is in three stages: the broth on its own, then with scallions and seasonings, then with kimchi juice mixed in.
